We are now sadly off the ship and waiting to go through Customs & Border Control at Cape Liberty, Bayonne.

A self confessed Cruiseaholic…… with barely enough funds to support his passion!
The wind has really got up today and so I ventured up to the front on deck 15 to take a few photos to use up some of my remaining WiFi credit. The weather reminds me a lot of our first cruise which was transatlantic and at a similar time of year.

Despite clear blue skies the upper decks are almost deserted. Out of the wind it is really nice. I did notice that most of the sun beds have been tied down to stop them blowing around. This time yesterday you would have struggled to find a bed. The other scenario is that every one must be doing their packing.

We were awoken this morning by a large clap of thunder. And we have yet another storm outside, the sea was quite choppy last night and every now and again you could feel the ship list from side to side a little. The outside temperature is 60F and wind has changed to a southerly one.

The sun has set on our last but one day at sea and also the cruise. A beautiful sky that warranted a quick photo. The skies cleared today and we had a beautiful sunny day, the only downside was the north westerly wind which made it quite chilly at times.

Not long now until it is all over, today and tomorrow at sea is all that’s left. The air is getting much cooler as we head north and today’s reading has it at 64F. Last night was the third and last formal night and we were treated to one of my favourites, lobster tails.
Catastrophe this morning!!! The coffee machine was empty and I had to go to the main buffet. 90 steps up and 90 steps down. We still have not set foot in a lift and its not getting any easier either!

Something interesting to post on what has been a really quiet and hot sea day. 2 cracks of thunder and storm clouds on the horizon, we have just passed through a nice little spot of stormy weather. It is surprising how quickly the conditions change and it also gives some spectacular colours too.

Our first day back at sea and on this leg of the cruise we will get the sunsets in our cabin instead of the sunrise. I have just been down to get our coffee’s so we can sit and enjoy them on the balcony. We are currently cruising at 18 knots, the temperature is 79F and it is 0% humidity.
